Guidance from the professionals...
All to often, the world of international transport is seen as complex and confusing. As with any industry there is terminology that is unique to freight forwarding. Whilst this remains true for people not directly involved in the industry, most can be simply explained, and companies involved in either exporting or importing should gain a general understanding of this terminology.
To this effect, NAC offers a range of guides and documents to pass on knowledge and understanding to our customers. These guides not only try to explain terminology, but also to give an oversight as to the different types of containers, their sizes whether they are used in Ocean or Air shipments.
We have also included a basic guide to the various classes of dangerous goods, should your products fall into these classes then additional restrictions apply.
We welcome any feedback on these guides particulalrly if people feel that they are incomplete or that even a whole topic is missing.
A frequently asked questions section has been included, if you feel there is a question not covered then contact us using the contact page and we will try and post the answer.
A number of these guides are available as downloadable pdf documents.
